The size indicates the total length of the scissors – from the tip of the blade to the end of the handles. Smaller models (14–16 cm) are suitable for fine work, while longer ones (20–25 cm) are suitable for larger sheets or cardboard.
Some models are universal, but there are also those that are specifically designed for right-handed people. Look for models specifically marked as left-handed if necessary.
